Thank you for joining me, AutumnalFoxFire, on what will hopefully be a very eventful adventure as I grow my talents and artist’s eye in full view of the anonymous public. There will be struggles, failings and missed opportunities. There will be joy, laughter and relief.
We start our illustrious empire with a very rushed image spawned from the chaos of the desire to DO THINGS NOW! I grew tired of waiting and dreaming. I fought hard against the constraints of my tiny and fragile mind, and came up with one, undeniable truth.
Foxes are pretty!
Alas, it appears others have shared in my revelation, for the username Fox was already taken! I leapt to the drawing board to conjure up an ingenious (I needed spell check to spell ingenious, crafty ‘u’…), yet also simple, deviation on this golden egg of an alias. What foul sorcery is this? Foxy, FoxArt, even ILikeFoxes, all taken. Impossible…
My heart ached.
Without a snazzy username, I would never be able to appreciate, learn, create, or most importantly, profit from art. I decided it was finally time to put my life’s dream of the last 18 minutes to bed. I will resign myself to the grind of my corporate 9-to-5, and my life shall be the better for it. And yet…
As nice as it sounded to give up and live the last of my life as a ball of regrets, I mustered up the courage to sit in my office chair a bit longer, until I finally came up with a stunning-yet-unfortunately-verbose, fox-related account name. Thus, the AutumnalFoxFire was born, and I franticly smashed my keyboard to obtain this username in every site I could think of.
As for actually making art, I thought it would be best to start with something practical, and I really needed a profile image! I thought about using a super-model’s picture to grow my fame faster, but decided a very flatly-vectored fox would grab just as much attention, with less chance of lawsuit.
Will this profile picture be updated in the future? I sure hope so, but it is mine and I love it as though I could not do any better at this very moment.
If you are still here, thank you so much for allowing me to consume your time. It was delicious. I do not know with what consistency I will post, as I was not joking and I just got a wild hair and started all of this 3 hours ago. I do intend to post frequently, whatever that ends up meaning.
