They ever-increasing need for security causes many headaches. One of those headaches takes the form of a frequently indiscernible spackling of text known as a Captcha. We have all lost our voices screaming at the monitor while feeling like we are reading some other-worldly heiroglyphics. They are a very time-consuming form of roulette where you just keep re-spinning until you finally find one you believe you can answer, at which point you are so worked-up and ready to be done with the process that you fat-finger the entry and are told, ‘Sorry, BeepBoop, no robots allowed here!’

This piece had a major face-palm moment in the coloring stage. I realized far too late that the color I was using to ink in was nowhere near true black. I tried using a masking trick to utilize the existing alpha values of the current ink to allow me to simply paint over the existing linework with a true black, but I did not like the results. So here my folly remains, a good reminder to doublecheck yourself as you go.
